I care about people and I'm fascinated by their stories. Since I was a teenager, people have confided in me, and the most common response when friends learn of my life coaching is, "So you're going to get paid for what you've always done for free?"  

I grew up in Australia, spent two years in the UK, and eventually made Aliyah in 2011 with my wife and three small children. I consider it a blessing to have taken the leap. Amidst the craziness of life in Israel, we have found incredible meaning and purpose. Many of the best things about living here are impossible to see from outside the country.  

Looking back on my business career, I see that my life has been defined by human connections. My career started in law, then management consulting, before I launched a tech start-up that I sold after 10 years. We moved to Israel, where I spent over a decade in high-tech and ventured into property investing.  

Our house has become a landing place for "Gap Year" children—our record is 8 for a single Shabbat—and often involves very late nights of deep conversation. Their encouragement and the satisfaction I gained from helping them fueled my passion for personal development and inspired me to become a life coach.  

Human connections have also strengthened my marriage and my relationships with my children, where my proudest achievement is that they all enjoy talking to me as adults (usually).  

I am completing a 6-month coaching course at CoachTrainingEDU and have augmented my studies with additional training from various online and offline sources. I launched Ascend IL in 2025.
